Michael Jackson RIP
When someone passes away, often people begin to realise just how much that person meant to them. This was always going to be the case with Michael Jackson. Dubbed the greatest entertainer of all time and the king of pop, these titles where only the beginning of the affection showed by the world to a person who not only paved paths through all the normalities of the music world, but made in roads for the black community to show their talent to the world.
He had many obscurities that as outsiders looking in on his life, we would not understand. So with speculation on all sorts of weird habits in this life, I think we should focus on the Michael Jackson empire. The musical genius, who changed the pop genre forever, sold over 750 million albums worldwide and is still selling strong.
Michael Jackson is a man to be remembered for his positives not the negatives that were so often poorly portrayed by the media.
And just to remind you of how much he meant to the world, as news broke of his death, the internet suffered its biggest meltdown in history, with websites Google News, Yahoo!, MSNBC, CNET, Twitter, LA Times and more all crashing under the pressure of Jackson related searches. It was later shown as his music re-entered the charts with his music topping charts all around the world, including 29 out of 30 in the charts in Australia.
His videos were also showing popluar as theatres began re-showing the Thriller video clip/movie free to the public on their big screens.
RIP Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)
