Facebook – poke, prod and push your way through it
I have neglected my Facebook account for well over a year now, yet logged on yesterday to catch some of the very kind birthday messages from my friends and family. I didn't realise just how many pokes, requests to join games and changes in status people were doing. I had over 300 game requests to sift through, which was a struggle, as I had no idea how to eliminate them all at first. Then there was the rsvp's that I had never acknowledged, which made me feel bad. The friends wall which was telling me all sorts of useless information. As I found out, some people were bored, some were catching the train, but all felt the need to tell the world.
Facebook has its merits of which it works well, connects people and allows for a safe forum for communication. However its flooded by annoyance in the form of poking and game requests. If someone could tell me how to turn that off, I would appreciate it. Until my next Facebook login, POKE.
