McDonald’s Grand Angus

McDonalds new Grand Angus Burger
There is a limit when it comes to knock around advertising, I'm talking the kind of ads that portray things a little over the top from the truth. McDonalds have launched two new burgers using an Angus cattle patty. Of which they push the facts that are true, the meat in the other burgers is from run of the mill 'Draught Master' cattle. Which is the staple of Australian beef supplies. The new burger uses the same cuts blade and rump, however it comes from an Angus cattle.
Now for the 'behind the ad' facts, the Angus is a better breed of cattle through taste and overall quality. However the cuts of beef used for the Grand Angus burger is the same as the Big Mac, Cheeseburger etc. So the quality of the Angus is lost through the use of rather cheap cuts of meat. Which bugs me because their over the top antics in claiming the burger is a classy meal. I know its just advertising, but its a really lame attempt at showing their new range.
More to the point, there is that guy on one of the ads, who has taken his wife to McDonalds for their anniversary, and I just want to punch him. His obnoxious accent, and his facial movements cause concern for the casting agent who hired him.
Still haven't tried the burger and probably wont get around to it either, but there you go.
