Magic Hands Car Wash

carWashOn my travels home from work, I pass a Magic Hands Car Wash on a busy main road. I am often mixed with the evening peak hour as I pass the location. Obviously this is something of a showcase time for a store like this and with its washing bays set back on its property, I have noticed a trend for their final wash of the day. In a bid at looking like the caring, responsible and professional labourers, they wash a car at the edge of the driveway in full view of the stopped traffic. As they look closely at the paintwork and buff madly away. You might think this is the work of a very dubious employee, but you would be wrong, its the overwhelming work of no less than six workers. It almost looks like a crazed frenzy to clean up a crime scene. And even as theĀ  customer steps into their car, they are still buffing.

Now I can't speak for the rest of the public, but I am not impressed by this mad attempt at advertising, in fact it does the opposite. If one must try so hard for approval from their customers, how can they possibly treat all cars the same. Do they only do that kind of treatment with the final wash of the day? I highly doubt that throughout the day six people wash each car with the same over exposed care as they do in the evening rush.

Wash your own car and you'll keep your ashtray change from being pilfered.
