Screaming
Your at a concert and looking for your seat, you find it and get yourself comfortable, soon the main event will begin and your excited but reserved. Then the lights dim and a sound bellows over the arena. It's unmistakable piecing screech of a thousand girls screaming. It's possibly one of the strangest forms of excitement and one that will never be properly explained to me. When I'm happy or excited I generally smile and or let out a short and one off 'whoop', however it pails in comparison to screaming. That form of vocal excitement is probably not annoying to the screamer or other screamers themselves, but it is to those of us quiet folk. I don't mind people getting excited at an event, but it does bother me when they scream relentlessly throughout the entire night. As if by making their scream louder they might get a screamer of the night award complete with trophy and press conference.
The worst fate of a concert can be thrust upon you when you are forced to sit behind or worse still next to a screamer. These odd humans may even yell out words of encouragement to their idols, things like "I love you, your the best" in the hope that over the top of the pre-existing noise the artist may in fact hear only their comment.
I let out a plea to all screamers and it's a simple, before you go to a concert, go to your bathroom, shut the door and scream your lungs out. In fact you can do this as loud as you like and with as much voracity as needed. Then come to the concert with a relaxed state of mind, get excited but just don't scream.
