Mind Your Own Business

Mowing the lawn, washing the windows, cleaning the house, these are all simple tasks that are accomplished by many of us on a regular basis. And do you think your doing them wrong? No, and even if you are, the job is getting done, and it seems to be alright with you. Then that Mr. Know it all comes along to tell you what your doing wrong and how to fix the issue. That’s exactly what they make it, and issue. Before that it was simply a task, it may not be a pleasant one, however it was a task being completed. And now someone is turning all that into an issue over whether your doing your task properly or not. Where do these people come from? Mowing a lawn for instance, I was doing the regular activity a few months ago, and a fellow over the street noticed. He eerily watched for the better part of ten minutes, and when I emptied the grass clipping into the corner of the front yard he had clearly seen his opportune time to create this issue I spoke about.

So over he came and just as I was about to continue mowing, he spoke. Oh, he went on about how I shouldn’t put grass clippings on my garden bed, weeds will grow and I'll never control them. Well you see he didn’t know that I'd been putting my grass there for years and its never been an issue until now. But he felt obliged to point out the issue to me. Thank goodness he came over, for a minute there I didn't know what I was doing with the mower, just pushing it around, no idea how to mow a lawn. Or that I should contain my grass in some eco-friendly carbon compactor reducer controlled manipulator, because knowing those people they would be into that king of thing.
