Wii Kills… sought of

A three  year old girl in America has died after shooting herself in the abdomen with a handgun. It's believed that due to her recent use of a Wii controller that resembles a gun she may have thought it was a toy. Her step father had left it on the coffee table after using it minutes before to check on his property after a disturbance.

I expect there will be people calling for the banning of gun like devices in video games, or for more tighter gun control laws. I don't support the first but I do for tighter gun laws anywhere. Idiots, and that's what he is, kill people. Leaving a loaded gun around the house even for only a minute is stupid and as shown, it will cause injuries or death.

A child has died, through no fault of her own, and with any luck the authorities will take away his gun. The video games are not to blame and changing them will not solve anything, its the underlying properties of peoples personalities that cause them to take video games to the real world.

This child had done what it has in the past with any of her toys, played around and had fun. Only problem is, this time is was a lethal weapon.
