Ebay – cheap crap 24 hours a day

Bought of ebay for $4.65 delivered from Hong Kong to Australia.
I found myself surfing eBay recently, looking for random items and I stumbled upon the idea of watches. I typed 'Mens Watch' and asked for results from cheapest to most expensive. So as I scrolled down I stopped at a watch listed for $4.65, which caught my eye more so for price than style. It was a metal (calling it silver would be a lie) watch with a modern styled face and it was located in Hong Kong. I thought maybe the postage would be overpriced and kill the joy of a cheap deal. But to my surprise the watch was delivered anywhere in the world for $4.65! I thought 'why the hell not' and I purchased this el-cheapo time piece. Around nine days later my teller of time device arrived and I ripped open the parcel like a five year old on Christmas Day. The packaging was brilliant, it was bubble wrapped and under that layer was a black gift box. I opened it with glee to find my watch hugging some sort of jewerlly pillow. It was even preserved in protecting plastic, which required peeling off. Under the watch there was a spare battery, and the thing was happily ticking away. I set the time and sat back thinking who made this for so little money? There was postage on international freight systems, an envelope, bubble wrap, gift box, the pillow, spare battery and the watch all for $4.65
Afterwards I got thinking, did I buy the equivilent of a Nike running shoe? This could be the hidden slave labour item of todays tech world. A watch for so little money it would even buy half the cheapest replacement band here in Australia. Oh well, its telling the time and I'm loving the cheapest piece of working junk I have ever bought.
