Free stuff with some acting

I recently either read it somewhere or saw it in a movie but there was an public display of human acting that caught my attention. It is those who pretend in order to get something for free. I became aware of a trend where people will constantly propose at restaurants in order to get the meal on the house. Then another night at another place they will do it again. This might net them a few free feeds a week if they are willing to do two things, do it only once per venue and be prepared for backlash if you get caught. Now I was thinking there has to be some rules these people would adhere to. The type of venue would have to be carefully chosen, as I assume most people would not believe you would propose at McDonalds or Taco Bill's. And what would happen if you aimed high like a fancy inner city hot spot that charges $60 a main and they didn't comp the meal? Ouch I hear you say? Well I guess that's the thrill of the chase.
When they have conquered a eatery they must move on, never look back, unless they are willing to pay each other time they revisit. As you must expect, people don't easily forget the faces of two people who got engaged at a restaurant, especially those who ripped the bill up.
I wonder what other free stuff could you get from faking it? Imagine proposing at the back of a long taxi line at the airport, would it get you at least to the front of the line? Or if you decided to propose at a football match might you be upgraded to a corporate suite?
It has endless applications, and now that I brought it up, just think twice next time you see a public display of affection leading to an engagement. They might be after a free feed.
