Spin Doctors

When you need to put a spin on a story, it's best to never have told the story before applying the spin. Therefore people can't reference the truth from the spin as easy as they can if they have heard the original. That is why I find the recent Carbon Tax talk so humourous. Not only did our pathetic excuse for a Prime Minister say she was not going to introduce a carbon tax at the last election, but she has also changed its advertising to make it seem more friendly. First it was a tax now it is a price. Does that mean we don't pay GST (General Services Tax)? Instead we pay a GSP (General Services Price). Then they call the 100 companies involved 'our countries biggest polluters', who on earth measured that? Did they follow them around for a year with a carbon capture device to analyse the output or was it simply a guess? It's also being peddled as the Clean Energy Future initiative, because it is intended to create a push for 'cleaner' energy ideas. The same ideas that often cost a horrible amount of money, like our Desalination plant to provide the water we don't need and consume the power we don't have spare. Then there is the age-old rule of thumb, if a company is taxed more, then they pass it on to the consumer. So the government has also looked at that too, claiming they have calculated the cost increases we will face and pumping the money back to us. But they forget that if I am taxed $10 and this affects my business, then I will make sure I charge enough to get my $10 back, so I can maintain the same income. So how does the government expect that industry wont do the same? They think they can pay the people some money to assist in the living cost increase and still have some tax money left over for green power ideas. It will become another massive fuck up on the account of a Labor government. The Greens are causing this, once again showing how little they know about money. Pathetic bunch of vegetarian, homosexual, PBR radio listening morons they are.

A world without the Greens is a better one. We want to advance the human race, not dwindle as prehistoric tree hugging pacifists.
